UP Sangkil Karasak

It’s official. Come next semester, I’m joining UP Sangkil Karasak. It’s a University org for Arnis. Of all the PEs I’ve taken so far, I loved Arnis the most. Why? Because aside from the fact that I had a very good teacher, Arnis is historical, scientific, and artistically subtle. I think what really made an impression on me is what one of the masters said after our final exam this afternoon.

This, (he was referring to the stick) this is a kid’ s toy. This (he showed us the bolo) is your heritage.

So, I have finally decided to continue learning Arnis. Just in case anyone is interested, this is their website.
